Finding the right therapist can be a daunting task. To help you in your journey, I would like to share a little about myself and how I practice.
Hello!
I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and a veteran. I served thirteen years in the military and found a passion for helping others. Once I received my degree, I knew I was called to work with the military, veterans, trauma survivors, and their families. I approach counseling holistically, believing that each person’s mental, emotional, physical, spiritual, and relational health is intimately intertwined.
How does it work?
You are the subject matter expert of you! I help you process and understand your life journey up to this point through various modalities, but ultimately, I use curiosity, genuine investment in you, and psychoeducation. I want to provide a safe space for my clients to work through their pain and past hurts, find freedom from that pain, and finally, flourish in the lives they desire most.
I believe in honesty with kindness through authenticity and without judgment. I will be direct and open when it is needed most and can be received, but always encouraging and supportive of healthy thinking and progress. One of the best feelings is getting to the end of a journey with a client and seeing them become a new version of their best selves.
Your being here today shows strength, courage, and a willingness to explore change. So, let’s take the next step together!
