We all embark on the journey of life at the same starting point. We travel down the road before us, carving out a path of experiences, memories, and adventures.

However, there are times when that path leads us into a season with sharp edges and dark corners, leaving emotional wounds. These wounds can often heal on their own, but sometimes they may need someone like me to assist you in the healing.

So, what happens if these emotional wounds go untreated?

Emotional wounds unconsciously develop into patterns of learned behavior throughout our lives and continue until they no longer serve us. Our symptoms are often adaptations to what we have experienced; they help us survive and protect us from our internal pain. Unfortunately, over time, these patterns can create more suffering and perpetuate cycles of stress and shame that serve to keep the symptoms alive.

"Even in times of trauma, we try to maintain a sense of normality until we no longer can. That, my friends, is called surviving. Not healing. We never become whole again ... we are survivors. If you are here today... you are a survivor. But those of us who have made it thru hell and are still standing? We bear a different name: warriors."
